In recent months we requested that the emergency response leadership team in your ward (ward coordinator, 1st aid specialist, communication specialist, chairman of the temporal and spiritual welfare committee, assistant chairman, high priest group leader, elders quorum president and the relief society president) sign up for TWITTER-TEXT; our primary source of communication in an emergency. The instructions to accomplish this are found under DOCUMENTS on this blog. It's now more important than ever because a new program will be launched in August 2011. Check under the tab "KNOW WHAT TO DO . . ." for details.
In the meantime please take the initiative in your ward to encourage each member of your emergency response team to sign up for TWITTER-TEXT by August 1 if they have not already done so.
